About This Video

This full-length video presents a digitized copy of Amiga World's "The Amiga Primer" instructional VHS tape covering the Commodore Amiga 500, Amiga 2000, and Amiga 3000 along with AmigaOS 2.0, Workbench, and AmigaDOS. Originally produced in the early 1990s, the tape served as an introduction for new Amiga users learning one of the most advanced multimedia computer platforms of its era.

The tutorial covers a wide range of topics including Workbench basics, floppy disk handling, file management, CLI and Shell commands, Preferences settings, memory expansion, printers, hard drives, and system utilities. Demonstrations also include technologies such as AREXX scripting, AmigaVision, multitasking screens, and advanced command-line functionality that helped define the Amiga experience.

This VHS recording was digitized from an original tape using a Panasonic DMR-ES46V and preserved in HD for long-term archival purposes. In addition to its instructional value, it serves as a time capsule of early 1990s computer training media and Amiga system documentation.

For Commodore Amiga enthusiasts, retro computing fans, and collectors of vintage training materials, this is a preserved look at how Amiga systems were taught, demonstrated, and understood during the early multimedia era.
