When American students, going to American schools, are sent home on Cinco de Mayo for wearing t-shirts with U.S. flags on them, a line has been crossed.

Administrators at a California high school sent five students home on Wednesday after they refused to remove their American flag T-shirts and bandannas – garments the school officials deemed “incendiary” on Cinco de Mayo.

The actions taken seem to me like a blatant violation of the students’ First Amendment right to free speech.

After hearing about this story, I’m seriously pissed off to no end. Why is it ok for everyone but “white Americans” to be proud of their heritage? To me that’s just racist.

    Oh my goodness! The story you found is just ridiculous! It just blows my mind that these sort of things are happening in our country and people’s freedoms are being taken away at lightning speed. Wow! It’s definitely crazy stuff happening. Such sadness!
